Drop Off

  • Parents can walk students to class for first day only.
  • Students arriving in morning can be dropped off at front door or at back by cafeteria.
  • No parking in fire lanes.

Attendance / Tardies

  • LATE after 8:00 a.m. by cell phone time
  • Parents are expected to call the school office at 753-1362 by 8:30 each day that a child is absent.
  • Tardies count as partial days absent.
  • We expect students to be at school every day, on time.


  • Only students with 100.4 fever and/or diarrhea should stay home.
  • Remember that our nurse can dispense medicines (Tylenol, Motrin, etc.) if the parent brings it to school in its original container and signs consent.
  • Do not send meds by the student to school. This includes asthma inhalers.

Cell Phones

  • Students cannot bring cell phones, iPods, or any other electronic devices to school.
  • If a student brings the item and has it out in class, the parent will have to pay $15.00 to get it back.


  • All parents & visitors must show state issued ID each time they come to campus and obtain a photo visitor badge. This visitor’s badge is good for that time only and must be returned upon leaving campus.
  • For safety and so that we get our procedures down, NO LUNCH VISITORS will be allowed until September 12.


  • Parents wishing to serve as a volunteer must complete a Criminal History Volunteer Check at the beginning of each school year. This can be completed via the Waco ISD website.
  • Parents will not be allowed to visit classrooms unless a criminal history check has been approved.

Early Pick Ups

  • Students will NOT be released on any day for any reason between 2:50 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
  • Students are only released during the school day to parents/guardians.
  • If persons other than parent/guardian are needed to pick up a child during the day then parent must send a written note to office prior to pick up (written notes will not be accepted from other person at time child is picked up.)
  • All transportation changes (way home) must be sent to the school office in writing by 2:45 p.m. so please be sure to send a note if your child’s pick up changes .
  • A dismissal change form can also be completed at the school office.


  • Procedures are changing for 2016-17. Keep reading below.
  • Parents cannot park or leave cars unattended in street or fire zones (bus zone).
  • Persons refusing to move will be reported to WISD Police and could be restricted from picking up students on campus.
  • ALL Car Riders will be dismissed at the BACK of the school.
  • Parents will be asked to stay in their car and form a line on the right side of Payne street.
  • After busses have loaded cars will pull forward and we will load families/students in cars. Parents should stay in their cars. Once the line starts moving, it should run smoothly.
  • If you pick up multiple siblings/family members be sure to let us know at registration.
  • Walkers and bike riders will not be released until most all car riders have been picked up and/or about 3:30 p.m.
  • Our goal is to dismiss everyone safely.
  • PLEASE help us by being patient and staying in your car so that we keep everyone safe.
